Are women going to take power and change the world? - Nostradamus 2012 quatrains

Nostradamus' cryptic projections about the year 2012 may not be about world annihilation after all. The world may simply give way to a more feminine approach. Predictions for this controversial year vary to a great extent.

For fear of witch hunting during the Inquisition, Nostradamus began disguising his astrology predictions by writing them in quatrains. The mysterious quatrains came about as an attempt to conceal the divination aspects of astrology.

The correct interpretation of the quatrains is anyone's guess.

The strife that we have seen in the pre 2012 world could simply be blamed on the suppression of intuitive thinking. Instead of linear thinking, the intuitive process may take over and begin a new approach to solving the problems of the world.

Nostradamus had great respect for women. His philosophy was outside of the mainstream of Inquisition type mentality toward the feminine element. When religion turned in on itself and began destroying the intuitive avenues of spiritual understanding, violence against women grew and eventually became rampant. Witch hunts and persecution of supposed witches, most of them women, became commonplace horrors of those ancient times.

As an astrologer, Nostradamus was able to see feminine/masculine as polarities; simple waves of energy that represent the male or female essence. In order to be balanced, both sides of the wavelike pattern are necessary to allow the holistic energy to complete its motion in an uninterrupted pattern.

Straight line logic and reasoning grew to be the only accepted way of thinking and communicating. The female intuitive way of knowledge was regarded with suspicion. More than suspicion, an underlying fear of a woman's mysterious power led to some horrifying extremes. The female essence of feeling, nurturing, healing, and intuitive reasoning became signs of witchcraft.

Eve encouraged Adam to partake in the knowledge of the world which ended the blissful life they had known. Since then, branded with the role of temptress, the ills of society were blamed mostly on women because they distracted men from a focus on godliness.

Men were only supposed to keep their minds on piousness and God. Women were disdained because they were blamed for seducing men, and leading them away from their sole purpose of focusing on God.

Women are gradually working their way into positions of importance.

As the human race evolves, women are still advancing. But progress has been slow. With, Uranus, the planet of sudden changes, entering the astrological picture, the process may be greatly hastened. More about the pre 2012 planetary alignment : bit.ly/Ujnbu

In 2012, the planetary alignment could bring the world to a sudden change in human perception. We are headed there now with concerns about the environment, but there will be more.

A different interpretation of Nostradamus 2012 predictions:

The male dominated world will be replaced with female representation. Interpretations of the cryptic writings of Nostradamus and the 2012 predictions are only understood through intuitive means normally attributed to woman kind. Practicing astrologers can only offer conjecture about the true meaning of the endlessly fascinating Nostradamus 2012 predictions.

What are the two kinds of Sagittarius?

Astrology - The traveler, Sagittarius, is represented in the heavens as half horse, and half man. Sag holds a lyre in one hand, and has a bow and arrow nearby. The lyre represents joy, and the archery symbolism denotes travel, and sports.

Sagittarius loves to play games of any kind be it board games or outdoor sports. They are candid and engaging. Good writers and storytellers come under this astrological association.

More terms that describe this native are high caliber, and people who love freedom. Imagination and intellect are the trademark. Sagittarius almost always has a jovial nature

They find success with travel. They are also kindhearted and charitable. Somewhat scattered, the Sagittarian is also unreliable at times.

This astrological sign is one that has heard the still, small voice. The spiritual nature comes through the representative planet of Jupiter, which in turn provides a good luck streak in life. The color is blue.

Famous people in history with Sagittarius astrology are Milton, Spinoza, Churchill, Beethoven, Jimi Hendrix, and Keith Richard.

Undesirable characteristics include boisterousness, overconfidence, uncompromising, imbibing in the spirits too much.

Ruled by Jupiter, the planet of prosperity and good luck, Sagittarius may be inclined to gamble too much.

Part of the fire triplicity, Sagittarius is mutable hot, dry and masculine, and positive.

Older astrology texts describe Sagittarius with reference to having duality, but that was dropped eventually, and traded for the notion of two stages of growth. An advanced native will be seen to have characteristics of attraction to the sciences, philosophy, religion or any discipline that reveals the interconnectedness of all things.

A concern about wisdom is preferred to mere knowledge. The Sagittarius wants to understand the world in order to live in it more effectively.

About Scorpio

Hopefully, this article will soften up some of the more common views about Scorpio astrology. One short article does little to clearly define an astrological personality. In an astrology newsletter from esoteric astrologer, Malvin Artley, he comments about the undeserved bad reputation associated with the astrology of Scorpio.

Here’s more on Scorpio astrology:

Perhaps the imagery of a Scorpion is one of the things that casts this sign in somewhat of a negative, scary light. Scorpions can indeed be scary and lethal. The Scorpio native can be intimidating, too. We all need our self defense mechanisms for survival. Each sign has a different expression of self defense mechanisms.

Any person, no matter what astrology sign they may be born under has a purpose in life. Often referred to as an evolution, we experience the ups and downs of life in our own way. Difficult lessons to learn eventually lead to higher wisdom.

The higher wisdom is depicted as an upward climb on a spiral. Described within a spiritual focus, Malvin Artley states that:

"On the higher turn of the spiral, when the Scorpio is spiritually focused, the key phrase is “Warrior I am, and from the battle I emerge triumphant.” The victory referred to is the victory over one’s lower nature and the warrior is one’s own higher nature."

Artley’s statements are a reminder of many Scorpio acquaintances and friends. With desire being prominent in the Scorpio personality, when applied to helping others, the focus is intense. Marie Curie is one example of the altruistic Scorpio type.

Mystery as attributed to the Scorpio astrology works both ways. A fascination with mysteries can also be one of the facets of Scorpio astrology. As Madame Curie stayed doggedly with her research, she eventually solved the mystery that had captured her intrigue. With this, plus the toughness and tenacity of Scorpio, she ended up making a great contribution to humanity.

Scorpio’s have their mysterious side, and people may tend to fear the unknown. But rather than fear, respect of their inherent power may be a more adequate reaction to the astrology of the Scorpio native.

Astrology is about focusing on self – knowledge, and emanating the light of your inner being into the rest of the world. While being grateful for many parts of life, take a moment to express gratitude for your own personal existence.

We often wonder who we are sharing our universe with and the lore about angels has been around for centuries. Have you ever felt a brush on your shoulder only to turn around and see nothing? Maybe you thought the mattress was depressing next to you at bed time, but no one was there?

Celestial beings do make themselves known at certain moments in life to let you know that you are not alone. They want to direct you to your god source, and that would be within the depths of your soul.

Although astrological analysis comprises many facets of who you are, your Sun sign represents your soul. This is also the seat of gratitude and thanksgiving. Every year during this season, we remember when physical survival was not as easy as it is today. But what about making contact with your own soul?

Don't worry about being self centered. When you make contact with your inner sun, you actually end up benefiting the rest of the universe.

Give yourself a blessing by realizing the fortunate gift of love that comprises who you are. The people who love you are a blessing, and the love you are able to give keeps the sunlight of your soul beaming into the rest of the world.

The angels and your Sun sign astrology:

Angel Planet Sign

Raphael Sun Leo
Gabriel Moon Cancer, Pisces
Michael Mercury Gemini, Virgo
Anael Venus Taurus, Libra
Gabriel Mars Aries, Scorpio
Zadkiel Jupiter Sagittarius
Michael Saturn Capricorn

If you feel the presence of something gentle, whatever your astrology sign, you may want to call out the name and listen to that “still, small voice.” *

The Elements in Astrology

Readers are much more sophisticated about astrology these days, yet the most common astrology oversimplifies.  For this reason, astrology has lost credibility with many people.  Human beings are complex, and in-depth astrology always reflects a mulitfaceted individual.

Often referred to as a natal chart, in astrology, an astrology chart is what gives uniqueness to a personality.  Very much unlike reading daily news astrology, when a birth chart is constructed, the multifaceted characteristics of a human being are explored.

The hieroglyphs are symbols seen within an astrology chart.  What do they mean?
Astrology is an ancient art, and the early symbols are still used in contemporary natal or birth charts known as horoscopes.  Hieroglyphs are a type of shorthand that saves time, and space.  A lot of information makes its way to the wheel shaped form used by most astrologers.

Here is a brief rundown of what the planets actually signify.  Hopefully this demonstrates some of the complexity covered in an authentic astrology reading.  Whether the chart is simply exploring the personality of the subject, or calculating trends, it’s an astrology chart is a basic necessity for truly understanding who a person is.

Astrology and what the Planets represent:

Sun - soul
Moon – emotions, intuition
Venus – love nature
Mars – motivation; love nature of male expression
Mercury – communication, intelligence
Jupiter – growth and expansion (prosperity)
Saturn – stability through knowledge
Uranus – quixotic changes, genius, electricity
Neptune – spirituality
Pluto – subconscious

Astrology and house placement:

The next category functions as a sort of an underlay for the placements of the planets.  This is the system of houses.  Wedge shaped areas are described further in depth as to characteristics that are feminine or masculine, as most people have attributes of both genders.  The houses represent basic areas of life.

For example, if you are a Leo, and your Leo sun sign falls into the fourth house, you are more of a homebody than most Leos.  If the sun sign is placed in the seventh house, you are a relationship person. Because the seventh house is Libra’s home, this placement gives a tinge of the Libra nature to a basic Leo archetype.

After all of the planets are placed on the wheel or the natal chart, the angles between the placements are calculated.  If two planets are opposite each other, on the wheel, it is called an opposition.  This means inner conflict that needs to be resolved.  A triangle shape between signs is a smoother flow of energy, and it adds ease to a person’s life.

Astrology - Triplicities and Quadruplicities indicate elements describing a certain facet of personality – Fire, Air, Earth, Water are descriptions of personality facets.  The other consideration is a description of Cardinal, Fixed, and Mutable. Cardinal shows administrative abilities.  Fixed indicates someone who isn’t too flexible.  Mutable indicates flexibility.

An astrology chart goes a long way toward understanding a human being as a unique individual.

Essential Herbal Remedy for the Holistic Lifestyle -Echinacea

Veterinarians have long known about the benefits of Echinacea as an herbal remedy. A formerly abundant flower growing wild in massive sprays Echinacea has all but disappeared from its native habitat. Veterinarians have long used Echinacea as an herbal remedy for livestock. The whole plant flower, leaf, root, and stem went in with the usual feed ingredients. For humans, this herbal remedy is quite effective, too. Of course, it won’t be in a feedbag, but this herbal remedy really works.

Over harvesting has changed the volunteer status of these wildflowers, but not to worry. Now that people are aware of Echinacea’s worth as an herbal remedy, it is being cultivated all around the world. In certain soils it is actually invasive.

Echinacea is known for its power to fight off virus, stomach problems, and infections. In general, Echinacea can be used as an herbal remedy for getting rid of flu, colds, and skin problems, rheumatic fever. The fact that it can handle a virus is one thing it’s got over antibiotics.

At first, this unusual flower was harvested for its roots. Now the whole plant including leaves and flowers goes into the healing mix for making the herbal remedy. After harvesting, it is hung upside down to air dry. Then it is pulverized and made into capsules, or conjoined with other beneficial herbs.

Growing to about two feet tall, the two potent varieties of Echinacea are the purple, and the white. Also known as coneflower, it grows thin petals similar to a daisy drooping out of a cone shaped center.

Echinacea, an essential herbal remedy – How to grow and process

Nurseries sell Echinacea flower starts, as it has become popular for its unusual ascetic appeal in a flower garden. Cultivating it for medicinal herbal remedies would be one way to make sure it’s the real McCoy, since substitutes are being sold under the name of Echinacea.

The best time to harvest is right before the bloom completely opens. Starting out with the stems tied together in a bundle, hang the bundle upside down in a dry place. Let it get started with open-air drying, and then cover it with a paper bag to finish the process.

After it’s completely dry, pick the leaves off and save the flower heads. Run it through an herb grinder, an electric coffee mill, or a food processor with good sharp blades.

Herbal remedy plants that you grow for yourself enable you to be proactive about your own health. For people who don’t have health insurance, these essential herbal remedies will contribute to well being through self-sufficient means.
