About Scorpio

Hopefully, this article will soften up some of the more common views about Scorpio astrology. One short article does little to clearly define an astrological personality. In an astrology newsletter from esoteric astrologer, Malvin Artley, he comments about the undeserved bad reputation associated with the astrology of Scorpio.

Here’s more on Scorpio astrology:

Perhaps the imagery of a Scorpion is one of the things that casts this sign in somewhat of a negative, scary light. Scorpions can indeed be scary and lethal. The Scorpio native can be intimidating, too. We all need our self defense mechanisms for survival. Each sign has a different expression of self defense mechanisms.

Any person, no matter what astrology sign they may be born under has a purpose in life. Often referred to as an evolution, we experience the ups and downs of life in our own way. Difficult lessons to learn eventually lead to higher wisdom.

The higher wisdom is depicted as an upward climb on a spiral. Described within a spiritual focus, Malvin Artley states that:

"On the higher turn of the spiral, when the Scorpio is spiritually focused, the key phrase is “Warrior I am, and from the battle I emerge triumphant.” The victory referred to is the victory over one’s lower nature and the warrior is one’s own higher nature."

Artley’s statements are a reminder of many Scorpio acquaintances and friends. With desire being prominent in the Scorpio personality, when applied to helping others, the focus is intense. Marie Curie is one example of the altruistic Scorpio type.

Mystery as attributed to the Scorpio astrology works both ways. A fascination with mysteries can also be one of the facets of Scorpio astrology. As Madame Curie stayed doggedly with her research, she eventually solved the mystery that had captured her intrigue. With this, plus the toughness and tenacity of Scorpio, she ended up making a great contribution to humanity.

Scorpio’s have their mysterious side, and people may tend to fear the unknown. But rather than fear, respect of their inherent power may be a more adequate reaction to the astrology of the Scorpio native.
