Pisces Astrology

Neptune rules Pisces, and is known as the planet associated with religion. The speculation about when Christ was born is ongoing, but some very influential mystical sects believe Christ was a Pisces. Hence, Pisces is associated with the symbolism of suffering. So, it is no coincidence that the beginning of Lent coincides with the oncoming Piscean influence.

The Pisces general Sun transit usually takes place between February 19th and March 20th. Keywords for the sign of the fishes are fruitful, negative, feminine, and double bodied.

The Piscean Age was from approximately 1 AD until 2000 AD – symbolized in the doctrine of Jesus Christ, who took the sins of the world upon him.

Pisces is represented by the fish symbol of Ixthus, and in astrology is characterized by two fish. It is described with terms like sympathetic, universal love, seclusion, self sacrifice, escapism, mediumship, and poetic. The sign of the fish was used on the doors of Christian believers to indicate safe haven for one another during the times of Roman persecution.

The other symbolism associated with the number two, and the double bodied fish emblem, is a certain dualism in regard to spirit. Spirituality with Pisces can be either sacred or profane.

The ruling planet is Neptune, the shrouded planet, and confusion is sometimes the trademark of Pisces. Also, Pisces is known as a water sign, and water is associated with sensitivity.

Recently, an article by Associated Content Contributor, TS Garp, reviews some phenomenal new studies about water having its own consciousness. Amazing test results with water forming crystals showed, more or less, that water does indeed have feelings. See the link below to click on TS Garp's thought provoking review.

Pisces are often reclusive because of their extreme sensitivity. Their consciousness borders on the realm of psychic. Walking into a crowded room can completely jangle his or her sense of calm composure.

When Pisces is out and amongst a crowd, he or she may be suffering silently in behalf of those in the immediate environment.

As always, no singular event or characterization constitutes an accurate study, especially when it comes to human beings. Pisces combined with representative planets in fire and earth signs makes for a completely different picture than the isolated factual descriptions of one Sun sign. A good example of such generalization is the Sun sign description that is available and widely read in the newspapers.

Pisces’ corresponding physical focus is the feet, toes, glandular and lymphatic system, and the tarsus and metatarsus bones. Not known for having a hardy constitution, tending to health issues is very important for Pisces. The extreme psychic receptivity takes a toll on energy resources for this native.

On the same token, the otherworldly sensitivity gives Pisces a great aptitude for creativity and producing works of art with an essence of ethereal fascination.

Famous people with a strong Piscean influence are, among many, Alfred Hitchcock, Pope Pius II, Harry Houdini, Elizabeth Browning, Victor Hugo, van Gogh, Tennessee Williams, George Washington, and Edgar Cayce.

Carallel Corner: The House that I Designed

Carallel Corner: The House that I Designed

The House that I Designed

When my husband retired, I was scared to death. Being a high energy person, I suddenly realized he worud be in constant motion with nothing to do. Afraid that he would drive me buggy, I bought a lot near Lake Erie. I said "Here, honey. Build a house, now."

Well, the house building turned out to be a joint effort. Together we drew up the plans on typing paper. First, I would make the drawing, and then he would change whatever he needed for practical considerations. He would have to install plumbing and heating, construct the frame, etc.

It ended up that he made my kitchen smaller than I had designed, but it worked out o.k.

The main thing that I had always wanted was a breezeway. He built the garage extra big with lots of outlets for accommodating work benches and projects. The big garage left a flexible option in case someone would someday wish to add another living unit by remodeling and omitting the garage. Being in a vacation area, many people alter their houses creating accommodations for tourists, etc.

Libra Shares Transiting Saturn Influence

For 2010 Virgo and Saturn intertwine destinies due to the transiting Saturn effects. Saturn has already been in Virgo since about mid 2008. However, Virgos may be feeling as though this Saturn transit has been around forever. Libras usually balance incoming energy manifestations.

However, it’s going to be interesting to see the Libran balancing act as the disciplinarian planet Saturn moves back and forth in its motion relative to other nearby planetary orbits. Since the planet Saturn is exalted in Libra, it may be a labor of love to keep everything on keel.

One retrograde period has lapsed as Saturn revisited Virgo, and then returned to Libra’s side once again.

Virgo can expect another Saturn visit in April of 2010.

One last hurrah happens with Saturn conjuncting Virgo from April through July. After that, the Saturnine energy is Libra’s baby.

Either Virgo or Libra is well equipped to handle a Saturn transit. This is true more so than with other signs, in any event. Virgo’s got the capability for self-discipline, which is what’s needed anytime there’s an astrological transit involving Planet Saturn. Libras and Saturn are just naturally comfortable together.

Still, it’s going to be a time to work toward a goal. Social life will be secondary to work endeavors. This is a really good time to study, or start an exercise regimen with a goal in mind. Enrolling in any kind of a school works with the Saturn energy, too.

Do something that requires you to keep your nose to the grindstone, Virgos and Libras.

As far as the dates of these major planet transits like Saturn, the cut-off time is veritably non-existent. Why? Because the reactions of each individual are different, and Saturn moves through the celestial skies at a steady pace, the restrictive energy fades away, rather than making any clear-cut transitions.

Following a prescribed plan ultimately proves to help both Virgo and Libra who are sharing the same Saturn transit, so to speak. Once the self-discipline has been applied, look for the results to start dribbling in sometime during 2011, depending on the exact date of birth.

Libra and Autumn Go Hand in Hand with Beauty

Astrology - The common balancing scales symbolize Libras, but don’t let this be misleading. The cosmic connotations of the scales have much more meaning than merely a simple mundane implement.

Libra crosses the ecliptic and the equator as the Autumnal Equinox ushers in the fall season. As the belief goes, this is an important balancing factor. The night is considered equal to daytime in length. Though the precisely equal days do not coincide exactly with the equinox, the imagery of balance still remains attached to the sign of Libra.

Libra stands at the threshold of the second half of the zodiac. The signs on the opposite half are complementary, balancing the oppositional energies through Libra’s expertise at relationships.

The first relationship is part of the Libra symbolism. Signifying the original reach to the outside world, Libra gets most of the credit in knowing how to handle relationships. A certain gentle, and harmonious personality, Libra is ruled by Venus.

Astrology - Yet, being a cardinal air sign*, Libra takes the lead. No one even notices that the Libra has taken control of a situation, because the gentle mode of this native has handled all of the surrounding relationships in the situation.

With two scales en hand, Libra weighs and balances. Often viewing relationships in terms of polarities, the Libra native organizes the surrounding environment. Astrology expert, Robert Hand, explains that the Libra needs to juxtapose self-perception through comparing inside and outside realms of existence.

For this reason, Libra seeks to be part of a pair. This is how Libras grow.

Astrology - Libra is a lover of beauty. The native may or may not be good at art, but still needs art to be part of the Libran sphere. Tending toward favoring art that is pretty is the Libran penchant. As per most air* signs, Libra does not handle emotional intensity very well. Some are so much so; they can barely stand to hear a sad story.

Do the astrology aspects and the biography match? - William Butler Yeats

Yeats, a legendary poet, has had so much impact on his fellow humanity. Almost 150 years later, his work is still adored by many. A poet whose karma played out in a life that gave him an incredible gift with the written word.

Many people are gifted, but Yeats’ had extraordinary capability. His birth chart astrology displays the rest of the magical components required to make such a shining star in the literary world.

With Aries in a trine aspect, he could focus on his mark with precision. He also had follow through, and a capacity for self discipline.

For some of us, these kinds of attributes are acquired. Yeats was born with them, along with all of the complimentary tools needed to use his gifts. His bequest to the world was destined to be part of this particular lifetime to become a world-renowned poet.

He was interested in mysticism, and ironically wrote his best works after receiving the Nobel Prize for Literature. To read a short biography of Yeat's life, click the following link :

Certain astrology aspects are rare, and are considered special compared to the ordinary square, trine, and conjunct aspects. Everyone has these plain aspects.

In astrology, the first portal in a horoscope interpretation that should set off bells and buzzers is a Grand Trine.

This is the sort of trine that connects through the elemental properties of Earth, Air, Water, or Fire. When one astrology element is dominant and three birth planets cohabitate within the same element, it instills a specific potency of the four areas.

The Grand Trine is an unusual occurrence. Yeats had two Grand Trines. These were Fire and Air. . . . chart courtesy of Astrodienst

Yeats’ Sun, Mercury, and Rising sign unite in Gemini.

Gemini is known for it’s own mercurial quickness of thought and mental faculty. Sociable and charming, Gemini graces an astrology chart with a talent for writing.

Adding fiery passion to the mix, Yeats’ second Grand Trine is situated in the element of fire. Leo, Aries, and Sagittarius comprise the essence of this one.

Leo gives drama; Aries contributes intelligent aggression while Sagittarius is yet one more sign contributing to writing skills and communication. Represented by the Archer, Sagittarius contributes to an otherworldly awareness, as well.

Libra also blends into the mix helping balance these energies, as well as giving him natural organizational skills. Venus in Taurus brings an intense focus on beauty and grace.

An Aquarian Moon sign gives him a certain aloofness and compassion for humanity all at the same time.

There were not very many people like him in history. For this reason the William Butler Yeats’ legend survives long after his passing. Dynamic astrology charts like his don’t happen very often, either.

Are women going to take power and change the world? - Nostradamus 2012 quatrains

Nostradamus' cryptic projections about the year 2012 may not be about world annihilation after all. The world may simply give way to a more feminine approach. Predictions for this controversial year vary to a great extent.

For fear of witch hunting during the Inquisition, Nostradamus began disguising his astrology predictions by writing them in quatrains. The mysterious quatrains came about as an attempt to conceal the divination aspects of astrology.

The correct interpretation of the quatrains is anyone's guess.

The strife that we have seen in the pre 2012 world could simply be blamed on the suppression of intuitive thinking. Instead of linear thinking, the intuitive process may take over and begin a new approach to solving the problems of the world.

Nostradamus had great respect for women. His philosophy was outside of the mainstream of Inquisition type mentality toward the feminine element. When religion turned in on itself and began destroying the intuitive avenues of spiritual understanding, violence against women grew and eventually became rampant. Witch hunts and persecution of supposed witches, most of them women, became commonplace horrors of those ancient times.

As an astrologer, Nostradamus was able to see feminine/masculine as polarities; simple waves of energy that represent the male or female essence. In order to be balanced, both sides of the wavelike pattern are necessary to allow the holistic energy to complete its motion in an uninterrupted pattern.

Straight line logic and reasoning grew to be the only accepted way of thinking and communicating. The female intuitive way of knowledge was regarded with suspicion. More than suspicion, an underlying fear of a woman's mysterious power led to some horrifying extremes. The female essence of feeling, nurturing, healing, and intuitive reasoning became signs of witchcraft.

Eve encouraged Adam to partake in the knowledge of the world which ended the blissful life they had known. Since then, branded with the role of temptress, the ills of society were blamed mostly on women because they distracted men from a focus on godliness.

Men were only supposed to keep their minds on piousness and God. Women were disdained because they were blamed for seducing men, and leading them away from their sole purpose of focusing on God.

Women are gradually working their way into positions of importance.

As the human race evolves, women are still advancing. But progress has been slow. With, Uranus, the planet of sudden changes, entering the astrological picture, the process may be greatly hastened. More about the pre 2012 planetary alignment : bit.ly/Ujnbu

In 2012, the planetary alignment could bring the world to a sudden change in human perception. We are headed there now with concerns about the environment, but there will be more.

A different interpretation of Nostradamus 2012 predictions:

The male dominated world will be replaced with female representation. Interpretations of the cryptic writings of Nostradamus and the 2012 predictions are only understood through intuitive means normally attributed to woman kind. Practicing astrologers can only offer conjecture about the true meaning of the endlessly fascinating Nostradamus 2012 predictions.
